NNWT DEV DIARY #1

As Nitro Nation World Tour keeps evolving, we wanted to give you a sneak peek at some new features we’re working on and explain what exactly they will add to your player experience.

This is a new format we’re trying out, so feel free to give us your feedback!

As you might guess, we, at the NNWT team, are pretty passionate about cars—not in the “posing-next-to-a-Lambo” way, but more in the “digging-under-the-hood” sense . And, while believing in the power of upgrades, we think that real mastery comes from fine-tuning your ride. So, in version 0.9.16, we’re diving into tuning with a focus on the lower part of your whip:

1. Tire Pressure Tuning: Adjusting your tire pressure will impact grip, speed, and handling. Lower pressure means more grip, while higher pressure reduces rolling resistance and can boost speed. It’s up to you to find the perfect balance.

2. Adjustable Suspension Height: You’ll be able to adjust your car’s height and drop the suspension so low that even Ken Block would be impressed.

3. Ballast Tuning: This will help you adjust the weight distribution between the front and rear of your car, improving handling and balance.

We’re also working on other tuning nuggets, like a two-stage nitrous system, to help your car perform at its best. These tweaks might seem too subtle, but the devil’s in the details and these changes will tangibly affect how your car feels and behaves on the track.

There are lots of fun and powerful changes coming to the tuning and upgrade system in future game versions, which we’ll share more about in the upcoming series of dev diaries.

Stay safe and race hard!
