DEV MEETUP

Remember our quarterly Dev Meetups?

Well, here's the scoop from our latest April gathering.

As always, the range of topics was wide, but many of them focused on the benefits of automation and AI in our workflows (how surprising is that!:).

Thus, we were introduced to GitHub Copilot, something like a GPT model understanding the context of your code base and helping you to expedite your code creation, then delved into the world of Procedural Content Generation (PCG) framework, another AI-powered game-changer optimizing game element creation, and explored how AI programs are revolutionizing QA practices, from bug reports to gameplay optimization.

As for the automation magic, our dev brainiacs schooled us on CI/CD systems (hint: Jenkins isn't the only game in town), highlighted the importance of automated UI tests in gaming, and discussed time synchronization's impact on gameplay. And to top it off, we got insights about the subtleties of developing a co-op mode for Into the Radius 2 on UE 5 (yep, we are craving for it too).

And by the way, we've been thinking: why not make a regular post featuring our devs' tips and tricks, so keep an eye on the rubric!
